Our

Myo Matters' Mission

Here at Myo Matters,  therapy is provided by myself, a Qualified Orofacial Myologist.  I have studied with the leaders in the field to provide my patients with an individualized plan best suited for their needs.  Myofunctional Therapy helps promote normal muscle function to the muscles of the face and mouth, promotes nasal breathing, proper rest position of the tongue and lips, and normal swallow pattern.  Myofunctional Therapy can be used to prevent and help treat many health issues such as tongue tie, tongue thrust, headaches, jaw and facial pain, snoring and sleep disordered breathing, neck and shoulder tension, poor dental health, crooked or malalligned teeth and more.

About

Paula Anderson

My name is Paula Anderson.  I’m a Qualified Orofacial Myologist and a Registered Dental Hygienist.  I have worked in the dental profession for over 20 years.  After taking several continuing education classes on craniofacial development and sleep disordered breathing with my husband.  I came across the field of myofunctional therapy.  I instantly realized the application of this field in everything we do in dentistry.
